CHRISTMAS APPEAL: Humanitarian Action for Victims of War.

Swisscross is raising funds for skin grafting equipment to treat refugees and displaced people suffering burns as a result of war.

THIS CHRISTMAS A ONE-TIME DONATION FROM YOU CAN HELP FUND A SINGLE PIECE OF SKIN GRAFTING EQUIPMENT FOR TEN YEARS, HELPING THOUSANDS OF BURN VICTIMS FOR YEARS.

One of the most common injuries in war and conflict is burn trauma, with up to half of all traumatic injuries in conflict relating to burns. If left untreated, burns can cause infection, amputation of limbs, a lifetime of pain, disability and even death.

At the Swisscross Centre of Excellence for Complex Care in Erbil, Iraq, we have been inundated with patients, most of whom are refugees and displaced populations, suffering from debilitating burns as a result of war and conflict. Children as young as 2 years-old with 60% burns through weapons blasts are some of the patients we are treating today.

To be able to help them recover and treat burns effectively, we need a skin grafting machine, designed to assist in the treatment of burns and skin reconstruction. Skin grafting is a fundamental technique to help patients heal and be able to overcome long-term disability.

Swisscross is trying to raise $30k for a dermatome, a surgical instrument for skin grafts, this holiday season.

This one piece of equipment will last a decade and help tens of thousands of vulnerable patients live dignified and healthier lives. Your one-time donation will be the gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

Please help burn victims of war this Christmas and donate, giving vulnerable men, women and children the best possible chance to rebuild their lives and restore hope.

Help war wounded receive the care they need and deserve.

Give Hope this Christmas.

Thank You!
